Sergeant Schlock, the character played by Peter Scolari on the television show "My Name is Earl" is one of the most famous television characters of all time. He makes his first appearance in an episode called "It's a Wonderful Life", where he tells Earl that his life would suck without him! Sergeant Schlock has an incredibly loud voice and he is always interrupting Earl's thoughts to tell him how great he is. Although, his constant intrusion into Earl’s thoughts can be annoying, he usually ends up saying something that brings Earl to tears. It’s hard to explain exactly why Sergeant Schlock is so great, but it helps to know that he never judges Earl and, instead, only wants to help him become a better person. Sometimes all you need is a little push in the right direction to get you out of your rut, and Sergeant Schlock knows how to give someone just that push.
